history

progressity office

We’ve come a long way since the firm’s inception. Here are some key points along our journey:

October 5, 2001 – Kathleen DuBois incorporates her own consulting firm and calls it DaisySeed Communications, Inc.

December 17, 2001 – Kathleen sets up official shop in the spare bedroom of her Morgantown, West Virginia apartment.

December 17, 2001 - DaisySeed lands its first client, The EdVenture Group. The services provided included marketing strategy and graphic design…the latter service resulted in Kathleen asking Michael Teel to come on board as a part-time designer for her new start up.  Michael worked remotely for the firm from the Washington, DC area.

October 2002 – Kathleen relocates to Charleston, West Virginia and sets up shop in her dark basement that floods regularly (requiring all of her business equipment to be put up on wood blocks).  She is frequently visited by big, hairy crickets.

March 2003 – Kathleen decides to ditch the hairy crickets and moves the firm out of her home and into business space.  She rents the smallest office in the Charleston Area Alliance Building in downtown Charleston, West Virginia.  Her office was adjacent to the men’s bathroom and Kathleen endured the daily 5 o’clock “symphony of flushes” due to the custodian’s cleaning efforts.

November 2004 – Michael Teel and his family relocated back to West Virginia so that he can work full-time for the firm.

April 2006 – DaisySeed Communications, Inc. changes its name to Progressity Development Solutions in order to better capture the nonprofit market.

October 2008 – Kathleen obtains certification as a LifeSuccess Consultant that instantly helped her create a global network of people who have a mastery of setting and achieving goals.

March 2009 – Liz Hereford joins the firm as the first full-time Director of Operations

June 1, 2010 – Progressity relocates to cool new office space in a building in downtown Charleston, West Virginia called One Bridge Place.
